Today was end of spring bonsai trimming day. Let's meet the subjects. Lodgepole Pine is a single flush pine, so we just reduced the length of the new growth to be mostly even across the tree. #bonsai

Next up is a Japanese Black pine. JBP are double flush pines, so I took all of the new growth off. If things go right (first time I've done this) it'll put out more new growth with more buds, shorter internodes and smaller needles. #bonsai
