I really don't see the problem. The floppy drive is still accessible, and that CDROM drive is pretty much useless anyway (broken tray mechanism).

Fun fact: for ages, PC towers were designed with the power supply on top, making them top-heavy. That's because PC towers were at heart regular desktops. The PSU was typically on the right-hand side, putting it at the top when the system was stood on end. Took *years* for that design to change.

WDYM? Did you forget that some CD-ROM drives had slide-out tabs so that you can put the disc in when it's mounted in the vertical orientation? I wonder what model PC that was?

Clicks on Eject. CD-ROM drive opens. CD-ROM falls from the tray, rolls onto the floor, gets scratched.
