Love the non-redaction with low transparency. You're doing the lord's work.

In the year 2025, what questions should people ask before they install an executable binary on their OS and give it access to their Documents folder? "Who makes this and why should I trust them?" is a basic question. Not merely trusting to be honest, but trusting to be meticulous about security.

👀 You should express gratitude that, so far, no one has required you to finance this delightful bureaucratic experience. (I fervently hope I’ve not overstepped and nudged anyone into dubious trains of thought.🫣)

Based on how they responded & that they claim to be a community serving individuals with special needs and complex disabilities—I'm going to assume that means that they tell individuals they'll never get support, unless they sign what they demand. Essentially extortion.

He sounded like a scammer anyway. I wouldn’t even reply to him.

The best thing about notepad++ is not that it is free of charge but that it's GPL 3, respecting the users' freedoms. Thanks for your thankless service in maintaining the project

You could be a famous programmer. You could open opportunities to make ridiculous amounts of money. No one would ever recognize you… I wouldn’t use Notepad++ now that I’ve seen that you’re an anonymous coder. Your software is too difficult to write… You sound like you might be hacking people.
