The restoration of Thistle Hill, led by the Fort Worth-based firm Hull Historical, was completed earlier this year. Originally built in 1903 by cattle baron W.T. Waggoner for his daughter Electra, the historic mansion was donated to Cook Children’s Hospital in 2022.

The hospital has since invested $4 million in major renovations, addressing the fascia, windows, masonry, and roof of both the main residence and the neighboring carriage house.
