A quick demo of "whatdoyouwant.now" - an atproto app I've been working on for a couple weeks now. It does its best to fetch item metadata from meta tags for you, which is convenient. Wishlist is just a very simple timeline per user right now haha - hoping for arbitrary separate lists eventually.

The author switched to Inoreader recently and noticed this AI feature, which summarizes articles and allows users to ask questions. Inoreader had previously warned against relying too much on AI for understanding information, but they now offer these summaries, which the author feels is contradictory. There are 5 "Objective Facts" listed (the "Authori's Opinions" section is cut off) including "Russian is currently conducting military operations against Ukraine" which is a bit clinical but sure an objective fact. The first "fact" is highlighted and reads "Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has a 4% approval rating." This is considered to be Russian disinformation at worst or just unsubstantiated bullshit spewed by Trump at best.

As the post _actually_ discusses, this is not a problem with Section 230 - it actually _reduces_ the risk of active content moderation in a number of ways. So the AI has gotten is backwards somehow.
