Today is Sadako Sasaki's birthday. Sadako was two when the U.S. atomic bomb hit Hiroshima. She was 12 when she died of radiation-induced leukemia. Today and every day, we must honor Sadako and all children harmed by war by working to build a safer world for future generations.
