What happens when AI removes the tasks young people used to learn from? Yesterday our Director of Education, Josh Hillman, spoke to the Education Committee about how while AI may be making some entry-level work more productive, we need to pay attention to what young people could be losing.

That's the real question. Entry-level tasks were never just busywork. They built judgment through small mistakes nobody noticed. If AI skips that step, we need new ways for young people to practice before the stakes get high.

AI is changing what employers expect. Young people are being asked to demonstrate stronger professional judgement, higher levels of AI literacy & more advanced employability skills at the start of their careers. That presents a challenge not just for young people but for employers & policymakers.
