Stephan Pastis' cartoon strip "Pearls Before Swine", for 9 July 2023. It shows someone trying out a device called "The Understanderer". A woman at a bar is furious with another customer, a guy who had cut her off when she was coming into the parking lot, and is threatening to pour a drink on his head. Pig quickly enters and suggests she try "The Understanderer": a device which quietly summarizes the problems tearing at the guy's heart. After listening to what's happening to him, the woman instead goes up to the guy and just says: "Everything will be okay."
