Catch a Vibe, Keep an Ode Queer pagan mom of one small human, three judgmental cats, and twenty-one plants that may or may not be thriving. Started my MFA in Creative Writing at 34 years old and blooming with imagination.

WIP Snip from the novella series Purranormal Investigators by C. C. Kwapich: Wet, silky fur slid across my fingers, and my rapidly blinking eyes gazed into the carrier seeking comfort. Gentle, yet bright orange eyes peered back at me as soaked black paws brushed against my fingers that would not, could not let go of the crate. There was a sorrow in the soft meow that followed, one of understanding that this would be the last time we would see each other. She knew before I did, and once it hit me that this was our last goodbye, I could hear the bells ringing. I was silent. Frozen in time. Mind blank. Heart stuttering. Water was up to my chest. And words of comfort to my special cat waded on my tongue, yet did not reach my lips.
