Let's have real convos about Black health, healing and community! Come connect with seasoned local experts, explore community supports and join the conversation around building a healthier future for the African, Black and Carribean communities in the KWC region. Lunch will be catered & free parking and GRT two-way bus tickets will be available.
The ACB Network Waterloo Region is hosting “Black2School: Open House Information Session”. This is an opportunity to learn more about navigating the Canadian education system and have your questions answered by those who work in the system. The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) and the Waterloo Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) school staff will be present to answer your questions on: The Canadian School Day Classroom supports such as IEPs and learning accommodations Disciplinary practices and anti-Black racism Report card reviews And more Event Details: The event is a drop-in with school board representations available throughout the event for one-on-one and small group engagement.
