Objection is now The Primary We built Objection for the moment after damage was done. If the media got facts wrong about you, you could file an objection. We'd launch an independent investigation, and an AI Tribunal would issue a verdict on the merits of evidence submitted for and against statements made. It worked. A little too well… What we didn't expect was that every case would point to the same root cause: Bad reporting isn't a journalist's problem. It's an incentive and editorial problem. Modern journalistic economics run on clicks and advertising — and clicks reward speed, volume, and outrage. The quality of the reporting itself has never had a scoreboard or feedback loop. There has never been a way to measure the discipline and rigor behind a story, so there has never been a way to reward it. Journalists know what great work looks like. The system just stopped paying for it. Verdicts punish failure. They don't fix the incentive. They do not solve for the root cause.

But Mr. Musk has a plan. In his 2013 interview for the science video, he said he hoped to create his own species on Mars, an idea that he has repeated over the years to SpaceX employees and others close to the company. “I think it’s quite likely that we’d want to bioengineer new organisms that are better suited to living on Mars,” he said in the interview. “Humanity’s kind of done that over time, by sort of selective breeding.”

But while the “Mars colony” requirement may make the package seem unobtainable to many, Musk can still extract a ton of value from these shares long before SpaceX ever reaches the red planet. In the stock award agreement attached to the IPO filing, SpaceX reveals that Musk can vote with these shares even before they vest. What’s more, he can also pledge them as collateral for loans. It’s a popular move for the ultra-rich to get access to lots of cash without being taxed on unrealized gains, and it’s something Musk has often done in the past with his shares of SpaceX and Tesla. While borrowing against these Mars colony shares technically requires board approval, Musk controls the board. Ultimately, the decision will be up to him.
Post-IPO, Musk will be CEO, CTO, and chairman of SpaceX's board, and will have more than 50% of the voting power, giving him the ability to appoint directors as he sees fit. He essentially cannot be fired. The company has placed limits on how shareholders can file legal challenges, and it will benefit from a far more permissive regulatory regime in Texas, its home state - an environment Musk helped create when he loudly moved Tesla's incorporation there from Delaware. As SpaceX bluntly tells prospective investors in the filing: "This will limit or preclude your ability to influence corporate matters and the election of our directors."

It seems like sometimes Trump's allies or supporters say the negative claims about Trump are lies or smears. But what you seem to be saying is not that Trump didn't do any of these things in his past, but that he did, and that's O.K., or maybe not O.K., but that God works in mysterious ways and can use Trump to lead the country nevertheless. Is that accurate? Well, I think that it could be said about all of us. I mean, Isaac, you have things in your closet that you pray never show up on CNN. There are things that you've done that you pray to God never become a New Yorker story That's interesting, but I haven't grabbed women against their will and bragged about it, or posted a video of the Obamas as apes. So maybe there's a sliding scale of what people do and how we should judge them? Ultimately, God is our judge, not people. And we may have a sliding scale, as you say, in man's law, because it is true, murder is way more dangerous and carries heavier weights than jaywalking or eating too much. Gluttony is just as much a sin as murder, but in the eyes of man, murder carries way more weight, and it should be handled the way that the word of God says it should be handled. But in the eyes of God, who is our ultimate judge, God is a God of forgiveness. God is a God of love. So, having said that, it doesn't matter what President Trump has done in his past. It doesn't matter? It doesn't matter in the eyes of the Lord, and apparently, it doesn't really matter to the eyes of the American voters because they voted for him and made him President twice. Many would argue three times. You would argue three times, right? They voted for him twice, and he's won twice.
