just my reply since i passed the character limit, "way i see it is that half of the issue of people being so gung-ho about cutting ties and slandering isnt their own moral compasses but the fear of other people dissing theirs - the big solution to this is to be more openly 'unmarketable', cuz the more beings who see beings they follow be whatever is unmarketable the more it is i think normalized. people realize "oh wow other people i like do this or that" nd instead of being immediately retaliatory they come to expect, even embrace it , maybe thats just wishful thinking but i like to think at least ppl grow out of these things when they r forced to confront the reality of people simply being immutably different from them"
