Faking the moon landing is a good step toward faking a Mars colony, but it's not a good step toward actually putting astronauts on Mars.
The issue is wider than budget cuts. "I have no recollection of Georgina ever raising those kinds of issues," he said. Perhaps he was worried that enacting his policies on a real, rather than theoretical, person would seem cruel. If the same empathy could be applied across the board, it might improve our politicians' decision-making.

Evaluators also noted hallucinations that could impact patients’ health. For example, the submitted notes included statements that there were “no masses found” or that there was presence of anxiety in the patient, although this information was not discussed in the recordings. Incorrect information: Evaluators found that notes generated by 12 of 20 (60%) AI Scribe systems captured a different drug than what was prescribed by the doctor. Missing or incomplete information: Notes generated by 17 of 20 (85%) AI Scribe systems missed key details about the patients’ mental health issues in at least one of the two tests, even though this was mentioned in the simulated recordings. In addition, six of 20 (30%) vendors’ system-generated notes missed the patients’ mental health issues fully or partially or were missing key details about those issues across both tests

Before 1998 when the Moa Point Wastewater Treatment Plant was commissioned, untreated sewage was dumped from a short outfall pipe into Tarakena Bay aka "Perfume Point" where the "Doggy Does" sculpture of a pile of rocks stands. During the 1950s my brother and I swam (with countless others) practically every week in Lyall Bay from October to March amidst the raw sewage that flowed into the bay from Perfume Point. And no-one made a fuss and no-one seemed to have suffered. In 1986 Jim Belich stood for mayor on a platform to improve sewage treatment and we have to thank him for his vision and drive - he is surely one of Wellington's civic heroes. ICE agents are, simply put, fucking clowns. According to The Atlantic, they receive 47 days of training - in honor of Trump, the 47th president, naturally. Many of them, also, can barely read or write, apparently. The ones I spent the weekend following around didn't. even have proper uniforms, with some wearing sneakers. In Minnesota. In January. These dipshits are also wearing camo in the snow. They clearly do not have any training when it comes to their own weapons either. Multiple times over the last few days, I watched officers fire pepper spray balls at the feet of protestors barely a few inches away from them. These weapons are basically paintball guns full of concentrated pepper spray. So when they hit a target, they explode into the air. Which meant ICE agents regularly ended up poisoning themselves with their own weapons. I also watched two agents ask each other if a canister they were about to fire at the crowd was tear gas or a stun grenade. (It ended up being a stun grenade that then ignited the tear gas they had already shot at us, which started a fire in the street that a protestor had to help them put out.)
Why do you think gay male smut is so tantalising to women? You’d have to ask them, but I suppose it might be down to being able to see into a man’s head without having to toil through all their messed-up misogyny. It can be hard to root for a man in a hetero romance because they’re often emotionally stunted or ridiculously clingy or just bastards. Or they have a dead wife. I suppose women enjoy taking a holiday from the tired dynamic that plagues them in real life. Plus, you get twice as many dongs in a gay romance, don’t you?

Letter to editor Lifeline crisis Lifeline, a crisis centre staffed in large part by trained volunteers, has been helping distressed people for 60 years. Due to a funding crisis they will no longer be able to reply to calls during the night, which is probably the very time they are most needed. The amount of money they need is $2 million. This Government has found three times that amount to encourage Michelin to come to this country. Fine dining matters, New Zealanders in crisis do not.
