Two different studies conducted over the past several years have yielded almost identical results-48% of respondents replying yes to this question in the first (Harris Poll, 2003) and 51% in the second (Huffington Post, 2017). Studies in Europe have similar results. Often falling somewhere between 40% and as high as, according to Royal Science Open Science, as high as 56%.
