Looks like we're in for a decent #fig harvest this year from our small 'Brown Turkey' tree. They're probably still a few weeks away from ripening up, but if the hot weather returns, who knows?

Not much of a Breba crop on my Brown turkey or Madeline de deux Saisons, the main crop figs are starting to swell but they'll need a lot longer to ripen. The Miss Figgy is looking a little better but is only a couple of years old.

Hopefully the birds don’t find the figs! I had to cover some of my Brown Turkey figs as they were starting to ripen. I like to make bacon wrapped figs! Brown Turkey loves the summer sun and heat. It has a ton of fruit and it’s getting taller, because I didn’t propagate branches to share this year.

Our fig is incredibly vigorous but in six years we’ve never seen so much as a proto-fig. A nearby one is covered, despite being far smaller.

Hardly any figs on our tree this year 😞
