I feel like if Taylor never got as big as she is rn her career would be very respected bc this is some exquisite songwriting. The song just gives off a haunting vibe with the atmosphere giving the feeling of time stopping. It’s an answer to all of her career, the very criticism that she’s always facing, “move on.” It’s masterfully detailed in a way that feels unusual as she details how she’s stuck right at the very place her heart was broken. Unable to move she just freezes, watches as time keeps moving as she’s unable to move herself. It spins the criticism into a story, self-deprecating and intriguing at the same time. For those proud of Swifties (for moving to this website bc the other website’s owner threatened to give her a child thar he’d be a deadbeat) and wanting to give her music a shot this is an excellent display of her songwriting abilities.
