Shit about our freezer, some of which i did not even know until now: - they got it in either 2007 or 2008 - it was the actual display model that was likely running for 2-3 years before they even bought it - basically it's been in regular use for 20 years - parents got it 50% off because they weren't selling/manufacturing it anymore - store didn't even have the box for it because it was the literal last one - store just wanted to get rid of the damn thing - it's been on a three-way extension cord for all these years??? - it's been trying to stay cold in the recent 100+ F heat waves with no AC - my mom really fucking wanted it even though it's an upright one and sucks at staying cold (cold air falls) - it has been through countless power outages - it started burning at about 1 in the morning - if i wasn't awake and on my computer, nobody would've known - the metal prongs that go into the outlet are singed black - i smelled it and hoped it was coming from outside even though it definitely wasn't - i am unfortunately very familiar by now of the smell of electronics burning up - it smells similar to burning rubber. or the power tool area in a Home Depot - we do have a freezer compartment in the fridge, i tried to squeeze everything i could into that - my fucking ice bags... (i threw them into my cooler that i got to survive the heat waves with no AC) - the freezer keeps leaking water everywhere - he probably won't even get rid of the freezer - i had to stay up all night to make sure nothing else happened - he won't get anyone to help with the electricity, hence the extension cords - this is what living with a hoarder is like - he still blames my mom for the hoarding even though she's been dead for 10 years

The documentation for the Image resource formats, specifically for the enum FORMAT_RGB8. It says, "OpenGL texture format RGB with three components, each with a bitdepth of 8. Note: When creating an ImageTexture, an sRGB to linear color space conversion is performed."

Description of code snippet for the alt text: In total, it's only 8 lines of code. The shader type is canvas item, render mode unshaded. An external variable called a "uniform" is type sampler2d which is a texture, and named "palette" to be called externally within GDscript. The fragment function is defined and runs per-pixel, setting a color variable to the original texture of the sprite, mapping the final color to the new palette sampler2d variable by using the red and green values as coordinates, setting the alpha correctly, and finally setting the final color to the finished thing. It's extremely short and effective.
