Kat's reply: My secret is taking a long time to finish them over multiple months or years. I don't lose much of memory of games over a year or two and so i take breaks and play other interesting things in the meantime. Clannad was many spurts over 8 years, Chaos;Child the same over 4, Nukitashi and the sequel took about a year and a half, but Yu-No and Hentai Prison i was so hooked i couldn't put them down. Even Doukyuusei 1 and 2 remakes were a year and change each. I've had things like Dohna Dohna and Yoru ga Kuru on the burner a long time, i'm in no rush. If you're the type of person to play clean through a single game, maybe pad out the long ones with short ones that look cool to you. Sisters ~The Last Day of Summer~, the first Bishoujo Mangekyo nukige, if you read Japanese there's also a huge world open to you on DLsite. Want a short-ish adventure? Try out Isaku. There's so many short games that have been fan-translated too that you're bound to find something interesting.

Kat's reply: I really do not bottom often at all (like twice, three times a year) but a regimen that tends to work for me is eating a fibrous meal and taking fiber at least 36 hours beforehand. My metabolism is quite slow so i try to go even further out than that, but i won't eat again until shortly before or just after bottoming just to make sure. Water only can help but isn't strictly necessary. Other than that, try not to stress yourself over anything during that leadup and remember most partners will be pretty understanding no one is perfect and it's ok to back out if you feel off.
