In the first panel, an anthropomorphic cardinal gynandromorph and an anthropomorphic dog, Roman Filcrow, look at each other, with the panels focusing solely on their eyes. They both have heterochromia.

In the next panel, the cardinal waves while standing in front of an open door, stating "I'll be back to pick up the type next week, Mr. F!"

Roman waves back in the panel after that, his eyes shadowed. He says, "Er—Of course. Have a good day!"

Starting off-panel but gradually entering from the right, fellow anthropomorphic dog Lucy Filcrow looks at Roman, asking, "Romie? Roman? Oh, there you are. What's wrong?" Roman adjusts his tie and says, "Er, well, nothing, Lucy. I just..."

The final panel shows a brown feather lying on the floor, left by the cardinal. Roman's dialogue continues above the feathers, "I can't imagine it. Wearing your... condition on your being like that."

Other notable details about the images include that the umbrella goes from dark green to a more olive green colour over time, that the original 2023 image is lineless and has a sidewalk, that starting with the early 2024 version Linda is holding her hand out to catch a raindrop, that Linda's coat goes from a trench coat in 2022 to an open high-collared jacket in 2026, and that Linda has a significantly darker fur colour in the 2026 version.
