Screenshot of an FA journal, titled "(serious) life / post-FWA / comm updates". it reads as follows: hey everyone, general life and art update in early april, my close friends can attest that i had a disasterous burnout of the mind and body. the month before, i had been juggling my post-AnEx commission queue, a stressful minimum wage day job, two concurrent associates degrees, and volunteer con artwork on top of a social life. the stress from this period running up to april third resulted in a catastrophic blowout of my mind and body, incapacitating me in bed for two weeks straight, dissociating for 2-3 weeks until i eventually came back in time for FWA. it was one of the worst periods of my life as far as dissociation goes, and its not like i had tangible means to drop those stressors either. nonetheless, i persist. i'm lucky to have had my close friends and partner supporting me at this time, keeping me level and helping me feel real again through the fog of this period. many thanks to my mom as well for helping me care for myself when i was deep in the rough, and to my newfound friends i met at FWA for lifting my spirits back up and reminding me i have a home in this community, that i can and should take up space without shame. it all was a sincere, deeply-resonating wake up call to do better and shoot for self-actualization. my compass was swallowed by the sea, and i have to steer my boat with my own hands now. i persist. post-FWA has seen quite similar amounts of stress on me, especially the passive guilt that comes with lack of fulfillment for people as an artist, that need to keeping on working no matter the bodily cost so i don't get people worried thinking i dined-and-dashed with their commission money, but these are all the result of catastrophizing.
