May 22, 2026 (page 1): "My team and I have heard from many of our neighbors across District 17 who have expressed deep concerns about proposed hyperscale data centers in and around our area. This includes eight proposed centers in Upper Merion Township, which would span more than four million square feet of land. Think about that, a bigger footprint than the Philadelphia airport.

Those proposals are up for public consideration at the Upper Merion Planning Commission’s meeting on May 27 at 7 p.m.

Whether you’re concerned about data centers’ impact on our collective quality of life, our public health, our environment, or our wallets as utility ratepayers, we can all agree: our communities are not fodder for ultra-wealthy developers’ hasty and unregulated attempts to turn a profit at our expense."

"Our time on the Senate floor is valuable. Instead of ensuring our time is used wisely—moving bills that would actually make Pennsylvania more affordable, safe, and healthy—Senate Republicans are creating political theatre over their recycled bill that seeks to exclude transgender youth from sports."

The last few weeks have made one thing alarmingly clear: the Trump government is willing to cross lines we never imagined, all in a relentless pursuit of power and profit, while ignoring the will of the American people.

Between the federal budget bill that carves up our healthcare and food assistance (not to mention a dozen more awful policies included in their irresponsible budget), horrific attacks and raids on families in our communities by ICE, deploying the military into American cities this week, and today’s assault on a sitting U.S. Senator, we are far past the promises and norms of an American democracy. However, this harrowing reality we find ourselves in is not a forgone conclusion. Republicans and Democrats — and everyone in between — must find the courage to challenge these actions and stand up for our nation.

Now, I ask that you show up. Please protest peacefully. Please be prepared and know your rights. Take care of one another. Continue to demonstrate and voice that this is NOT OKAY. They must learn that they will be met with resistance at every turn.
