Hacking one's enemies limb from limb. Or at least vine from limb. It's really easy to see English ivy right now, because it's out there being green when most things aren't. Don't let it sit there all smug, lording over us with certainly we won't strike it down. We get occasional warm days, and they're good to spend outside, doing righteous battle. Put the Romantasy novel down, stop replaying Civ, and go save some trees. Are there many things that are similarly odious taking digging their roots into the world, obscuring the light of day and strangling the best things about this beautiful land we inhabit? I couldn't possibly say! But if there were, you know what? It might make you feel better to sublimate your feelings into smiting one of the most pervasive threats to life as we know it in Maryland. Good info on how to come out victorious linked below. Please note: you can smite your ivy, you can smite your family's ivy (probably), and, if you get their permission, you can smite your neighbors' ivy, but to take your sword adventuring further afield you should get in touch with your local Weed Warriors program for training and to coordinate your attacks for the tactical good of all. Suffer no ecological tyrant! Also, wear gloves because it can make you itchy.
