What you are not more likely to experience is violent assault, rape, fraud, destruction of your society. As illegal immigrants will win that race everyday if allowed to. We will need to look to the revolutionaries. And hope for all of our sakes the nonviolent ones lead the charge. Are there any examples of nonviolent revolutions? Yes. To name a few: -Indian Independence -The Velvet Revolution -The People Power Revolution -The Montgomery Bus Boycott None of those are revolutions Well I guess if you get to decide that none of the nonviolent revolutions are revolutions, then the answer to your question is no and you probably didn't need to ask it, beloved

I remember where Jesus said go and buy a sword. One of the weapons of choice at the time and immediately rebuked the first disciple who used it. It's almost like the scripture very explicitly says that he said to buy a sword to fulfill a prophecy that he'd be counted among the rebels, explaining why he was executed like a criminal and not revered as a martyr for the right to bear arms.

His views are based on God’s word, would you call God hateful and vile? I would absolutely, loudly, and without hesitation call whichever god he served hateful and vile. The Good News is that he is currently encountering a God far more loving and generative than the one he proclaimed, and that he’ll have all of eternity to be transformed by that love. Unlike him, I do not believe violent gun deaths like his are a worthy price to pay for second amendment rights. Unlike him, I do not believe that empathy is problematic, and so I feel deeply for his family and those who are grieving his death. For these reasons (and so many others) I am grateful that the Lord of the Universe is far greater than the hateful & vile god he spent his (short, yet impactful) career serving.
I can understand grieving the death of a person. I can understand lamenting violence claiming yet another life. Unfortunately, I also understand lionizing, sanitizing, and whitewashing someone whose legacy was very intentionally & publiclly inflammatory, incendiary, divisive, dehumanizing, supremacist, and ugly with a thin veneer of Christianity. The first two are because our humanity is still intact. The last is because it is hanging on by a thread. I will make space for the first two. I will not abide the last.

As a matter of fact, Numbers chapter 12 verse three says that Moses was the most humble man on the face of the earth. And that's only true because I wasn't born when that scripture was composed and shared. Yes, since the late 1900s, since the 10th decade of the 20th century, I have been the most humble man on the face of the earth.
