The upper half of the image shows what the inside of the robe looks like with the patterns just attached with the initial one line of stitches. The lower half shows what it looks like when I have also stitched along both edges of the macrame cord on the other side. It makes a nice pattern, with lots of little diagonal lines of thread following the sides of the curves.
