Tip 1: to avoid looking like a wide eyed tourist, adopt an unaffected facial expression. The less you look like you care, the more Parisian you’ll appear. Here are a couple of me on the metro. (I’m actually super excited, by the way.) #ParisTravelTips

Tip 2a: always greet anyone you interact with. Daytime greeting: “Bonjour!” Evening and night greeting: “Bonsoir!” You’re permitted a moment of dropping the unaffected façade. You must do this with everyone: hotel clerks, shopkeepers, rail ticket agents, taxi drivers…EVERYONE.
