When we were kids often a piece of media would transcend its artistic form into the canon of the world in our mind. For us it's so perfect that it's hard to even comprehend that it was fabricated by someone or some people. It feels like it has always been there and it's just simply meant to be The fact that that's not true is actually pretty cool. Both because it means there are some amazing people making incredible stuff and because our minds are malleable enough that it will let pixels and soundwaves and words warp its perception of reality just because it feels nice anyways, it's a good game, folks.
