A guillotine (/ˈɡɪlətiːn/ GHIL-ə-teen /ˌɡɪləˈtiːn/ GHIL-ə-TEEN /ˈɡijətin/ GHEE-yə-teen)[1] is an apparatus designed for effectively carrying out executions by beheading. The device consists of a tall, upright frame with a weighted and angled blade suspended at the top. The condemned person is secured with a pillory at the bottom of the frame, holding the position of the neck directly below the blade. The blade is then released, swiftly and forcefully decapitating the victim with a single, clean pass; the head falls into a basket or other receptacle below. The guillotine is best known for its use in France, particularly during the French Revolution (1789-1799), where the revolution's supporters celebrated it as the people's avenger and the revolution's opponents vilified it as the pre-eminent symbol of the violence of the Reign of Terror.[2] While the name "guillotine" dates from this period, similar devices had been in use elsewhere in Europe over several centuries. Use of an oblique blade and the pillory-like restraint device set this type of guillotine apart from others. Display of severed heads had long been one of the most common ways European sovereigns exhibited their power to their subjects.[3] The design of the guillotine was intended to make capital punishment more reliable and less painful in accordance with new Enlightenment ideas of human rights. Prior to use of the guillotine, France had inflicted manual beheading and a variety of methods of execution, many of which were more gruesome and required a high level of precision and skill to carry out successfully. After its adoption, the device remained France's standard method of judicial execution until the abolition of capital punishment in 1981.[4] The last person to be executed by a government via guillotine was Hamida Djandoubi, a Tunisian murderer, on 10 September 1977 in France.[5]

I won my disability hearing! Except...it will be maybe two months, possibly longer, before I get my first payment. Right now I’m trying to get Social Security on the phone but they’re not answering. I’ve also been accepted into a housing program for people with disabilities, they’ve told me I should be able to move in within the next 3 months, so in 2 or 3 months my life should change drastically and I won’t need to beg for help anymore. In the meantime I only have $350 a month in public assistance income and SNAP benefits. My rent is $475 plus bills and SNAP only covers maybe 3 weeks of groceries and doesn’t cover delivery at all. I’m almost there. I just need to survive 2-3 more months. Any help I can get making it to the finish line is deeply appreciated. My PayPal is snowdon@gmail.com Thank you for any help.

A PlugRabbit NPC in the semi-hidden club area in Robotropolis. It's not that hidden, it's in the alley behind the event stage and a number of NPCs will tell you how to find it. PlugRabbit was a challenge because her head bone is oriented strangely and I couldn't figure out how to re-orient it without breaking the avatar prefab I use for the NPCs. So I had to trial and error the aim constraint script until she looked in the correct direction even though the bone was facing the wrong way.

I’ve also been accepted into a housing program for people with disabilities, but have to wait until they have an open spot before I can move in. They told me it should be 3-6 months. TranCL by A-tuy https://booth.pm/en/items/6796973 Normally I use the same Pink/white/blue colour scheme as my other avatars, but I recently made this Gold Edition texture mod for her! TranCL is my current favourite but I tend to avoid using her around Quest users since she's got a very poor performance ranking on Quest.
