Super serious and soppy vent that I wanted to share with ya'll because I feel it's important to me. I know it's super cringe and sorry for the wall of text but aaaa I'm doing it anyway. CW: Body dysmorphia I've been dealing with some of the worst body dysmorphia over the past years (which, I’m also finding, is linked to gender dysphoria too!), and especially with gaining a bunch of weight as of late with medication / changes of lifestyle etc. I find it super difficult to take pictures of myself that I enjoy with my face in it, my brain just feels super yucky about that sort of stuff, it's not fun! And I feel like I deserve to be happy with my body because, well heck, it's mine! And I put a bunch of effort into it by going to the gym frequently, seeing a personal trainer etc. Having Perky has genuinely been a lifesaver for my body image. It's really allowed me to see pictures of myself that I absolutely adore, and other people adore too! It's incredibly affirming, and it's the only time when I feel that I'm actually happy with my body (especially without clothes). Usually when I look at myself in the mirror in the morning my brain is quite judgemental with how I look (my brain is definitely my biggest bully haha), but in images like these, I genuinely feel like I look great!! Anyway, a lot of this I'm going through in therapy Imao, and it's super vulnerable stuff! But I just wanted to say a massive thank you to my fursuit makers @Furryfursuitmaker and @Fuzzyfurcreations. This fursuit has been a genuine miracle for my body positivity.
