We know he's right as rain though. Actual conversations must be had, painful as it is to get through the 'talking points' stage. TBH, a lot of people on the left have jr. high level policy and history understanding too - definitely the heart of the problem.
A lot of those issues that Americans agree on are the kind of things that Bernie ran on in 2020 but that wasn't good enough for you then you rat.
I agree most Americans are appalled by this administration, but I disagree about illusions. Trump and his cronies in the administration have made billions. He simply doesn’t care whether Americans agree or disagree, as long as the fleecing of America continues until November.

I think this is very true, and one of the reasons why democrats need to stop turning everything into a hashtag or slogan that is easily attacked or mocked. When Dems explain things well, as Pete does, people tend to agree. When they turn everything into a hashtag (DEI, BLM, ICE), people don't.
Because people suck, they tend to agree that they, themselves specifically, should get lots of government help with programs and services while opposing >everyone< getting the same. That's why wording on these surveys matters so much. We're doomed because the US is a bunch of selfish assholes.

When social media platforms code in algorithms that push particular content, that is a form of speech, making them publishers, and that should invalidate a defense based on section 230. I would love to see new law eventually that makes it illegal to push algorithms at all.

AI is one issue we all know how horrible it can make our lives. Yesterday I got in a fight with an AI customer service “person” that kept asking me what help I needed. It gave me options but none addressed my problem. But it wouldn’t put me through to a human. This was a headache producing moment!
