Burt Jones in last month’s runoff, has pledged to be like Trump, but “with a Southern tone.” The billionaire healthcare executive used his moment with Trump to announce he would ask the state Legislature to match the $1,000 the federal government has pledged to give every child born in Georgia between 2025 and 2028. “If they don’t, I will personally donate it myself,” Jackson said. Georgia has about 126,000 births each year, meaning the plan would cost about $500 million. Jackson has a net worth of about $3 billion.
