Then I randomly searched for doll turtlenecks and found this assortment for "fashion doll" and I thought, huh, it might be worth a try.

And holy crap this turned out so much better than I could've hoped. Simple thing, but it just makes him look a little more "cool '70s detective" on the shelves. Look, I told you up front this was silly. Not my fault you expected more than an old doll in a sweet new turtleneck.
