This crossbody bag will be perfect for the summer. Beach themed, it has a big pocket on the back. The strap is the thermal half double crochet stitch, minimizing stretch. The orange strap is connected to the sides and is a second layer on the bottom. It was shaped with books in mind. I am planning to add smaller pockets on the inside so I can use this as a project bag.

Progress check on my crochet cardigan. I am working it as a strip and will add arm holes and shape the shoulder a little. I will work the sleeves directly on to the arm holes. I am using two Caron cloud cakes, one in purple and blue and one in earth tones (blue, brown, green, gray).

I used the pizza turtle pattern but turned it into a cherry pie instead. I used a darker red instead of yellow, and used a beige rather than brown. I added a scalloped edge to the crust and made strips to weave and sew on top. It was a bit hard to sew on the strips so I haven't finished it yet.
Layout of colorful 3 round granny squares. I made some of them in variegated yarn and some in solid colors. I did my best to make the colors fade from red at one corner to green at the other. So far its a bit small, so I might add a large border.
This blanket is about texture and variety. I started by making a small 5x5 corner to corner square in a gradient yarn to practice the technique, then made a larger C2C rectangle to make a strawberry. I then made some crochet cables from post stitches and a square in the crocodile stitch. I did some wiggly crochet by making a base mesh then crocheting around it almost in zig zag lines. I made 2 flower granny squares and 2 regular granny squares then joined them together in a checkerboard pattern. I played around with beads and crocheted a little swatch. Lastly, I made a few Bruges crochet ribbons and joined them together. This is just the start, and there will be more to come.

This is the crocodile stitch necklace by Tamara Kelly on Craftsy. I made it in gray recycled cotton. It is made by first stringing some beads on, then working the crocodile stitch with beads at the tip of the scale. I do still need to weave in my ends.

I ranked 3798 out of 5984, but my family also made a conscious decision to stay together over going for it. It's been years of recovery since Cipro temporarily disabled me for a bit in 2020/2021, but I would still likely injure myself running great lengths. Walking let's me finish the race. Finishing is what matters in races, books, and in life. LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) health and wellness festival was a benefit for LA fire victims from last year.

Forgot to post this. These are the materials used in some of the earlier posts. There's a punchneedle kit, cross stitch kit, origami paper, safety eyes, a safety eye tool, paper strips, and a paper quilling tool. It's probably going to be a while before I do the cross stitch kit. I already tested the safety eyes. I did a few of the punchneedle mushrooms, and I also used some of the paper strips. I'll probably use the origami paper soon.
