here is a fun little tidbit of analytics info - putting the p logo + the 馃敒 emoji in my thumbnails has *always* increased click-through. i've done this test a bunch of times

Interesting that you can do an abc testing in YouTube! Did you try a lot of very different thumbnails in the beginning before finding your current lay-out? I love learning about the analytics, seo and behind-the-scenes.
