Range Advantage: 321XLR (kinda). The XLR wins on range, its newer engines burn over 40% less than the 757, and it also simply holds more fuel (12,900 gallons vs. 11,400 gallons). But anyone can add more gas with more/larger tanks, which of course then bites into your payload capabilities. 🧵

Payload Advantage: 757 87,700lbs vs. 50,700lbs. The 757 is the person you know who is lean, not bodybuilder huge but oddly super strong. It takes what you give it, fully loaded, and you can still be below Max Takeoff Weight. Airframe can hold the weight, and the thrust can carry it. 🧵
