Landing Performance: 757 (I suspect) The 757 has twice the wheels on the main gear, and therefore twice the brakes. I’m sure brake technology has improved, but can the XLR stop on a wet runway in the same distance as a same-weight 757? I’d welcome side-by-side performance data to prove me wrong. 🧵

The above is why Airbus touts the Airbus A321XLR as a transatlantic aircraft. It may face challenges on South American routes, which often involve heavier baggage loads and operate from mountainous, "hot and high" airports where the 757 would excel. 🧵
