Retarded? Educationally sub-normal? Educationally challenged? Learning difficulties? Special Needs? Neuro atypical? Every new euphemism tends to be regarded as an insult after a while. I remain uncertain about the current status of the terms 'person of color' and 'colored person'. I wonder if the words 'black' and 'white' will become eliminated for use in any context whatsoever, as some seem to demand.
