My second telco was with three engineers from Waterford, Ireland. Despite my utmost attempts I could barely follow the conversation.

A few weeks later I had to visit the Waterford guys for a project meeting. In the cab from Dublin airport the cabbie commented that I speak really good English. I answered “well, you guys don’t”. Cabbie was laughing so hard he almost crashed the car.
