Loving life in my 6th decade

A dry garden this morning getting a water via the hosepipe. Rain forecast but not for a few days. We need it
Another bright start. Hostas nearly done, then they will be lifted and moved to a place of a little more shade with grasses taking their place
Cooler morning but still no rain. Lots of red showing in the near border and the golden oats still continue to impress at all times of the day
Summer beds. Still struggling but plenty of colour and the grasses are, as expected, doing well
A very parched garden. Many plants are now struggling - one hazel tree has lost a branch and sunflower heads had to be removed as the plant couldn't hold their weight
Cooler day and quite the breeze out there. Hope to be able to water this evening as well as a quick spray this morning.

Summer garden. Spring foxgloves removed to allow room for dahlias
Garden in its full summer glory. Plenty of colour, height and growth. Amazing to think this is only the 3rd year of borders
What else could be above the Rectory Garden than a rainbow?!
Torrential rain coupled with thunder and lightning as the heatwave breaks.
Start of the hot spell. Already very warm at 640am
Glorious start to the day. We are not due to get the heatwave that's building in the south of England but it still feels pretty warm up here!
Beautiful start to the day. Garden got a water at 0730 so hopefully plenty of growing today
A cottage garden in June. Pink, white and purple dominate the colour palette
Echillia flowers coming out orange which is the colour we wanted, after a couple of years of pinks and whites!
Cloudy day. Sedum and rudbeckia both gaining height on the right of the front border
Lovely sunny morning in the middle of June. Shame the grass is so long otherwise it'd be cricket season!!

Alliums in triangle bed in full bloom while their drumstick cousins are only days away

Lovely start to the last day of spring. Honeysuckle now flowering so I get a lovely fragrance when taking the photos!!
Wonderful start to the day. Delphiniums showing blue in the far border. Stipa gigantia now approaching 6 foot.
Grass cut. Dahlias planted. Foxgloves over 6ft. Garden doing what it should!!
A different angle mainly of the front border. Foxgloves now over 6 foot and golden oats in full effect in the evening sun
Beautiful day ahead. Triangle border cleared of spring bulbs to make way for dahlias
Summer feels around the corner! The outside table is back out and the list of jobs in the garden gets bigger
Another damp morning but bearded irises now fully out.
Another wet one. Perfect preparation for the warmer weather on its way
Very wet day ahead. The garden needs it and the new hazel tree will very much enjoy the rain
Cooler day today. Honeysuckle growing into frame and pointing to the alliums.
Grass got a cut yesterday before the rain. White rose in bloom in right hand border

Sunny morning with few clouds. Rain last night helping to give plants energy to bloom
