PayPal is notorious for stealing money from people's PayPal account balance for what it claims are violations of its terms of service. Because PayPal exists outside of the banking system, there is no way to challenge this or sue to get your money back. Never, EVER leave money in your PayPal account. If you get paid through PayPal, move it to a real bank account ASAP.
