discord post with text that reads as follows: basically, I play the game for 24 hours straight and i get a bunch of my pals to cohost in two-hour shifts. they tend to bring along some gimmicks of their own like asking me/chat trivia questions or doing a tierlist for background characters (i don't tell them what to bring, i just kinda roll with it when they get there) the main draw for donations is that i get a big pile of star wars related prizes and each donation of a certain amount gets you an entry to win the pile. the secondary draws are donations for things that complicate the gameplay, like turning on mirror mode, forcing no upgrades, or forcing me to use the track favorite. my hope is to add some stuff like increasing the number of laps that i have to do; the track mods from the modding channel are very promising also

Today we are going to receive an inundation of details regarding the incoming American presidential administration's first executive orders. These policies are going to be cruel, and while they are going to be challenged at every level of government they are going to cause suffering in our community and across this country. I am not going to ask you to be fearless in the face of this information; to do so would make me a hypocrite. The things I ask of you are to take it slow, breathe deeply, meet each other with compassion, and survive. In the interest of those things I share what I will be attempting to do, which is to meet each problem where it stands by asking questions to find a way forward: Confront any despair and ground it in useful hope. What does this change for me, materially, right now? What do I need to account for it? Who and how can I ask for help? Who does this harm? How can I help them safely? Moderate the information you take in and pass on. Who is providing this information? What do they want from me? How should I interpret their meaning? What about this information surprises me? How can I verify it with others? Who knows more about this than I do? How can I listen to them? Who should be aware of this? How can I talk about it safely? Take time for yourself to grieve and live. How do I feel about this? What do I need to do to physically process this feeling? Who do I care about? How can I spend time with them happily? What brings me peace? How can I partake in it a little bit every day? All these stem from the philosophy I shared last year: Focus on what is within your control and improve things for the people you care about, with the time and resources that you have. The plan hasn't changed because the plan doesn't change. Love each other, love yourself, and fight and survive for all of us.
