This United Healthcare CEO assassination is fucking wild. Police now believe the weapon used was a B&T VP9 Basically a modern version of the Welrod used by the OSS in like WW2 9mm, Integrated suppressor. Costs around $6,000 USD. Super rare weapon. And the shooter was very familiar with it.

It's not that rare... Literally in NV there's a gun store local to me that keeps them stock for 2k. 😅

So familiar that they were able to quickly, without any sort of hesitation, able to clear a malfunction without skipping a beat. Crazy.

I'll let The Strokes say it. It wasn't a VP9. It was a standard short recoil/tilting barrel semi-auto. It failed to cycle properly due to some combination of the suppressor being too heavy, lacking a Nielsen device/booster, and/or ammo that wasn't hot enough. Issues weren't intentional.
