Flipnote sprite artist. I dabble in animation, but mostly conceptualize characters. >>Looking for work<< Aspiring gamedev Love what you do and the people you trust.

My original character, Potok. He's a water dragon, which may explain why he grew a fascination with ducks. Yes, perfectly logical... This totally wasn't a decision inspired by Hugh Newtron from Jimmy Newtron. No siree bob. There is a goose hidden amongst the ducks! OH NO!
HTE vs an army of Otis who've teamed up with the snarks.
Lance in his regular state. A little disgruntled and probably uncomfortable in his garb of choice. "This is what people wear, right?" he thinks to himself as the fabric slowly tears as he continues his travels.
Hat Strife fights SephiRil as AeRinth prays in the background. A friend of mine has been currently streaming the Ps1 version of FF7 with his fiance. He's also streaming a variety of random games for his Summer Roadtrip event. If you feel like it, you can tune in at 7PM EST, Wednesdays through Sundays (currently). It'd be cool to see new faces. HTE, the streamer, is Cloud Strife while his Fiance, Rin, is Aerith. Ril, a chaotic chat member in the community is none other than the big bad, Sephiroth. His menacing cutesy smile can pierce anyone's confidence. Or maybe that's his absurdly long katana. Who's to say?
Side profile of Flex's ATV and a WIP MOC of its upgrade. I want to keep the visual identity the same, but more detailed and like an evolution of the original. So, I need to switch out those black wheels to white on the upgrade when I get the chance.
Tried going for a mix of styles. The 90's is definitely the main influence, but there's elements of Miami Vice, 80's Neon, and splashes of various japanese album covers like Cassiopea or Tatsuro Yamashita's For You... You'd know the kind of look if you saw it. I don't think the aesthetic came out the way I wanted, but it looks good. I wanted something with thick outlines and that part looks great.
Based off of the first of many Miitopia streams, our heroes first adventures came to an end after saving Jesus's face. The team in question was lead by the hat enthusiast wizard himself, HTE! Following him was the team's spirit, Hatsune Miku, Ril, the traveling priest and lore master, and Pillow (Hey, that's me!), the timid chef and Mario cosplayer. Lore-wise, each image is drawn by Ril as a means to cataloguing the events of everyone's adventures together. What's he up to anyway?
They never mentioned the garlic bread, though.
A lantern animation I made for level assets in a fan game. I pitched the idea that the level should be in grayscale and people liked the idea so we went with it.
One of the many SMB3-styled animations I did for 8bitbert. I made him an alternative zombie sprite, so it made since to animate it a little.
Bert crouches behind a bullet bill blaster as he scans the crate-filled interior of a floating air ship from the deck outside. Large logs make up the walls and planks the floor. A metal beam marks the entrance way. In the distance lies two large mountains, one dotted with a pair of eyes that just peaks out past the top of the cloud line. What will Bert's next move be? Side note, but I was imagining the air ship looked more like the levels from Super Mario Bros 3 - broken up into pieces rather than a boat fully intact.
I tried spriting Potok, one of my many dragon characters, within a 32x32 box. While his body fits within that limitation, he features a lot of longer details that made the task impossible for this scale. I mostly wanted to draw him though, so I'm okay with it! Potok's inspiration comes from the more magical side of dragon mythology. His design is a spin off of a stereotypical dragon design and children's books. He has horns and frills, breathes fire, and has a venomous fin upon his back, but also features softer things like bunny ears, a big nose of a moose, boxing glove like hands, no visible claws or fangs (unless they're retractable?), is fluffy, and has a rounder overall appearance. A magician by trade and a father of 3. He usually acts as a voice of reason... but why is he a water dragon?

The classic Princess Toadstool sprite Super Mario Brothers. Red hair and a white dress has always been particularly interesting design choice that probably had something to do with limited color palettes. She rocks it, though!
A few sprites for a landscaper-type character. He wears beige baggy jeans, black work boots, a black belt, a two-toned green long-sleeved shirt that's darker from the neck down and has brighter sleeves, and topped with a white backwards cap. The character has black hair that's shaped like a well-cut hedge, a black skin tone and his demeanor appears to be chill. The art style is vaguely reminiscent of the Mario Bros. Arcade and his color scheme is vaguely similar to Luigi's from Super Mario Bros. for the NES. What is he about and what does he do? You're going to have to find out!
A few select OC flipnotes I've drawn. There's an F-Zero inspired racing Iguana, a chronic liar with crazy hair and shirt that probably doesn't fit him, a peaceful magic dragon, and a skeleton drone inspired by Lego.
Based off of Super Mario All Stars SMB1 and Lost Levels' BONUS faces, I tried to make Bert's character look similar to how those sprites were drawn. There's some modern sprite techniques throw in, but the overall style is relatively similar. I really like how this turned out.
WIP and finished doodle of Mario running off into adventure with the expression of a wondrous child. May he roam free.
Usually I draw very uniformly, but everything comes out less stiff and expressive when I manage to figure out how lines of action work. I didn't bother with refining the line work, but it's cool to see that I would have considered this semifinal piece a year ago and now I can just doodle it. The image depicts a boy with a delightfully jovial and deviously crooked smile with a poochie-esque attitude with his arms crossed. He wears a dark grey shirt with red splotches near its ends and beige yellow pants. The shirt curiously has a lingering adornment like a tail. He sports spiky brown hair with precarious cowlicks near the back that appear blade-like. Behind him is a sky background that gets darker the further down it goes, ending in a deep blue pool. There is a white outline that juts to the right behind the character.

My demon alien snake oc, Fish. Without going into too much detail, the reason why he has jet thrusters lodged in his neck is because his vertebrae broke after a certain incident. From the neck down to his torso went under heavy surgery. He didn't ask for body modifications, but isn't opposed to them largely in part to his upbringing and the culture he was apart of. There are 3 in total (1 behind each middle spike) and they're basically like another limb on his body, so stabilization has become very easy for him over time.
