The Pink Awards celebrate the excellence of 2SLGBTQIA+ icons—our champions. Unique to our Awards is a dual recognition: each Champion chooses to "pay it forward" by selecting a front-line 2SLGBTQIA+ charity—a community Changemaker. Each Changemaker receives a financial donation to directly support their work. The evening of celebration will feature musical performances by one of Canada's premier male choral ensembles Forte Gay Men’s Chorus, singer-songwriter and CTV’s The Launch winner T. Thomason, and the legendary pop/country/fierce femme band Shania Twink, with a special appearance by Carole Pope. Beverly Glenn-Copeland will also perform. Hosts Emily Hampshire and Hollywood Jade will be joined on the Pink Carpet by Shannon Burns, and you won’t want to miss a minute! Last year, our first Pink Paper on 2SLGBTQIA+ representation in Canadian media sparked important conversations about how our community is portrayed on screen. It showed that while progress has been made, representation remains uneven — especially for trans and gender-diverse people . That report strengthened the call for more authentic and diverse stories in media. Now, we’re turning our focus to health.
