Shapeshift Perfect for werewolves, doppelgangers, and heroes with secret identities and pairs extremely well with Bearer of Many Faces. Pick 2 of your other Talents (henceforth referred to Baseline Talents) and then pick 4 new ones (Polymorphic Talents ) -[H]: Switch up to both of your Baseline Talents with one of your Polymorphic Talents when you fulfill criteria decided upon taking this (night time, when your character is drunk, only when you’re alone, etc.) -[H][H]: Make the transformation without fulfilling the criteria. Note: You can take this a second time to expand this to 4 Baseline & 6 Polymorphic OR just a separate form with 2 Baseline and 4 Polymorphic. Expert Culinarian Unique For players who want to be the party cook. This adds four new fairly powerful meal traits. You can only include one of these in a meal, leaving you to use a more normal flavor as your second instead. Premium – Per scene Cooking effects trigger twice. Elemental – Grants the players Resistance to an element of the Cook’s choice. Energized – Twice per scene, a character can use an action one category faster than usual. Raw – Once per scene, a character can ignore half of an enemy’s armor for an attack. -[H]: Give your meal a little extra oomph, tell each player something about your cooking, why you made it for them, or what you think they need more of in their diet and why. For the rest of the adventure they can tag this effect to completely bypass a Hero Token cost and do something wild once per scene.

Odds are that people will suggest you play a game they’re already familiar with. Tell them that you want to play Gensou Narratograph instead. Of course, it’s only polite to play their favorite RPG afterwards as well.
Sin Swallower Spell Serpents hide in the heart of man, preying on their insecurities and feeding on their weaknesses, you must slay them, so that they may live unburdened by the darkness that grows in the ignorant. When you consume the flesh or blood of someone you have rendered helpless, erase one of their motivations from their hearts and roll 2d6. On a 10+, light floods your veins and you know those who share their vision. On a 7-9, one of your Injuries is changed into a Scar in front of everyone, but your eyes will terrify innocents around you for the rest of the week. On a 6-, you may choose to make someone believe something you say utterly once, but their Motivation is now added to your Drives.

Explore [Adventure] [Team] The ideal of any adventure is exploration. Digging deep into weird dungeons, picking through thick shadowy forests, and saving the world at the same time. When you first explore an uncharted locale, three map cards are placed face down, and each player – maximum of one player per role – picks one of the following of these roles: • You’re the mapper, you place the first card yourself and it’s face up. From now on during Advance, the party draws two cards rather than one and the second card no longer needs to be placed adjacent to a just placed card. • You’re the watch. You keep an eye out at all times and the GM will always tell you when creatures have been in the area and approximately how recently as well as any strange architectural elements. • You’re the botanist. You can directly identify any plants and plant-like creatures from memory. Additionally after every fight you can remove one harm from all allies with stored herbs before the characters would take injuries. • You are the researcher. When ancient writing, mysterious murals, or esoteric symbolism come up you can get some background information on them or even direct translations. • You are the packrat. Every hour that elapses on an area’s clock allows you and your allies to regain 2 uses from the item of their choice. • You are the scout. You can flip the card of your choice every time you Advance and know the tags of the scenes before you start them. • You are the fool. As long as there isn’t an ambush, enemies are always willing to talk before they attack. • You’re the note-taker. During Mystery cards you can request up to two clues, and during Danger cards you can reveal a hidden Hazard. Afterward the entrance card is placed down adjacent to one of the already placed cards and the party is placed there.
Grace of God Go I Light and Wings wrapped around you, like a love you never knew, you drop to the ground. You were going to die anyway, you just didn’t think it would be now. Your friends voices fade out, and comforting certainty pushes out the fear. Finally, death has claimed you but not your friends. When you sacrifice your life for another person, your allies can immediately convert a single injury into a scar. Additionally, once per session in the future they can think back to advice you had given them throughout their lives on their own emotional states, and get a reroll on Anxiety or any Social moves.

Messiah There are those who grow up in insular communities, the golden child, perfect to those around them, touched by the divine and essentially worshipped. These Messiahs find themselves wrapped in a suffocating blanket of laws and expectations, forced to behave one way or another or have their support system pulled from them. When they arrive in the Aerie, they find themselves hailed as a prophet by those who follow their religion; intensely uncomfortable an implication. Aesthetic A Messiah’s outfit is essentially determined by their culture. It’s always important to figure out your culture’s primary style of dress and any accessories or additions (such as tattoos or piercings) that might denote that you’re essentially one of the most holy people from your community. Simultaneously you might want to reverse course on that, dressing in a totally different and potentially blasphemous way because of how you’re working through unlearning the weirdness your community has inflicted on you. Very simple or ornate robes are often an easy choice. If you can’t decide how you want to look, pick one from each line: • Solemn, friendly, energetic, or mesmerizing. • Rail-thin, heavyset, farmer’s build, or slight. • Proud, intense, diligent, or charismatic. • Loud, trustworthy, sleepless, or quiet. Drives All these things will give you – the player – experience points: • Granting succor to the weak. • Break a taboo or uphold it when it would be incredibly uncomfortable. • Help an ally through a crisis of faith (this does not have to be your faith.) • Question something the community you grew up in taught you and decide on an answer. • Save someone from certain doom, especially if it harms you. • Defeat a Boss. Once you reach 10 experience points, you can level up and pick one of the following: • Add another Advanced Move. • Trade a mutually exclusive Advanced Move for another. • Add another Miracle (can only be taken once.) • Advance one of your Miracle. • Add a Basic Move from another playbook (they must be taken in order.) • Add an Advanced Move from another playbook (advanced moves that modify a basic move from a playbook can only be taken if you take that basic move.) • Add a piece of equipment of your choice or choose a + move from another of the same type to add to one you already have. • Retire. Either adventuring isn’t worth it anymore, or something is more important to you now. Either way you remember your times fondly. As Let Go, but the funeral is a night of revelry and celebration.
Knight of the Fallen Court There are those born with great power or great potential, those born with the strength to change things – and then there are those who have to earn it. Knights of the Fallen Court are those who sacrifice everything to their ideals, entering the Mausoleum of Divinity Lost to find patrons – gods who have been murdered, corpses full of magic and malice. Ones who with a whiff of faith, can be convinced to make pacts with those whose desperation for power and justice outweighs their instinct for self-preservation. Six dead gods. Every Knight of the Fallen Court forges their vows by stuffing the spirit of six dead gods into their flesh. Aesthetic A Knight of the Fallen Court is typically not defined by their appearance, though many often share a great deal of traits. Strong and fit but not exceptionally so, tattoos or clothes altered to showcase the limbs in question. They do however almost always wear a symbol representing their pantheon proudly. If you can’t decide how you want to look, pick one from each line: • Intense, bombastic, gentle, or exhausted. • Rugged, gaunt, soft, or plump. • Haunted, ostentatious, regal, or utilitarian. • Aggressive, forlorn, thick, or cautious. Drives All these things will give you – the player – experience points: • Facing down injustice for others. • Take or convert into a scar, a faith-based injury or an injury based on a limb you’ve focused a god into. • Stand between your allies and certain death. • Succumb to fear, despite your ability to fight it off. • Sacrifice something selfish in the name of something bigger. • Defeat a Boss. Once you reach 10 experience points, you can level up and pick one of the following: • Add another Advanced Move. • Trade a mutually exclusive Advanced Move for another. • Add another Gift (can only be taken once.) • Advance one of your Gifts. • Add a Basic Move from another playbook (they must be taken in order.) • Add an Advanced Move from another playbook (advanced moves that modify a basic move from a playbook can only be taken if you take that basic move.) • Add a piece of equipment of your choice or choose a + move from another of the same type to add to one you already have. • Retire.
