Graph comparing the impacts of different crop breeding methods on the plant DNA. Left: random mutagenesis, causes over 10'000 mutations, crossing; Middle: wide crosses can have drastic effects on plant genomes (e.g. loss of complete chromosomes) Right: Genome editing, causes the waned mutation plus very little additional mutations.
