The problem isn’t that Sotomayor would have served 18 years by 2027.

Yes, it's a weak "solution" that tries 2B fair/nonpartisan with authoritarians Tthe larger strategic mistake is thinking 1 can set up "guardrails" to keep elected con artists from destroying the nation. But "guardrails" here aren't made of steel but of ppl enforcing laws. Con artists ignore laws.
It's a start, but nowhere near a finish.
I don’t mind term limits but that is a very separate issue from dealing with a rogue Court.
