A pair of baby red squirrels, eyes open only three days, in a small blue cage, just starting to get truly mobile. Impatiently waiting to be syringe fed some formula. The rehabber (me!) can be seen reaching into camera view to adjust a sight-barrier sheet between the two sets of squirrels. I am wearing nitrile gloves while making the adjustment. Gloves get swapped out between species/litters, as a biosafety precaution for both myself and them. Always wear gloves when handling wildlife, folks!
