Farmers' market in early spring. Most of the market is still indoors, so only a couple of outdoor vendors are set up in this distance. A squirrel sailing through the sky in exactly the way one does not expect a regular squirrel to fly. It's clearly leaping from treetop to treetop in the manner of squirrels, but the picture captures it against a clouded sky in a manner at makes it appear to be hovering there with no visible means of support. There are bare tree limbs encroaching on either side of the picture, silhouetted against the sky. The picture appears to be in sepia tones.

This is a doughnut that is meant to look like a cat, but it looks slightly demented and demonic. It's shaped roughly like a cat's head, with a stubby ear on one side, and a lumpy bit on the other side that was probably supposed to be an ear. The side facing up is coated in black icing, and it has solid eyes drawn out in white icing, though they are slightly higher than eyes are supposed to go. It has two white icing gashes extending upward at an angle on either side of what one might presume is a nose. They are likely meant to be whiskers. The cleft mouth is far to broad, and curls up the outside edge of the face on either side, ending in a weird curlicue like a fancy moustache. The doughnut looks like the type that is likely filled. I imagine this one contained some manner of unholy creme or custard.

Scrambled eggs with chopped onions, garlic scapes, and freshly shelled peas, topped with a few dollops of chipotle sauce. Since there wasn't room in the post itself, here is what I did. I finely chopped a small onion along with the garlic scape from our garden. I tossed the onions into a pan with olive oil and let them saute for a minute or so before I added the scapes. I seasoned it with a bit of salt, pepper, MSG, and a dash of chili powder and when the onions were mostly transparent, I dumped in a small handful of shelling peas that we picked up at the farmers market a week or so back. For the eggs, I scrambled three of them with a splash of milk, a few grinds of black pepper, and a dollop of chicken bouillon paste. Once the peas had taken on colour, I poured the egg mixture into the pan and slowly stirred and flipped it until the eggs were just cooked through. I plated it and finished it with a few dollops of a delicious hot sauce that we bought at a local Mexican restaurant.
