If we haven’t got the money to repair with slabs and are not chasing compensation or stopping the illegal “shortcut” driving through this pedestrianised area. Tarmac would be much better for 👩🦽➡️🧑🦯 Shrewsbury Square.

I watched them fix slabs at the entrance of Butcher Row with tarmac last year, it's appalling to see. It's not just the ease and how uneven, but how it looks long term to tourism as well
They've done this at the Flaxmill. Bleak. Desperatly needs some trees to give some shade in the summer. Does mean the recent sewage works aren't as noticeable though.
