Thaddeus Sivana, a diminutive and bald mad scientist, has decided that he's spent enough time imprisoned for his many crimes. As part of his constant need to narrate everything he's doing, since this is a golden age comic book, he recites a nonsensical mathematical formula and claims it opens the fourth dimension. Even though science typically does not work this way, it still allows him to casually walk right through the wall of his cell to freedom. The lesson is clearly that studying can prepare you for anything in life.
